The Marnie Rays Portugal villa is a very special spot set just outside of the vibrant town of Ericeira. Traditional architecture, rustic cool furnishings and two outdoor pools will make your stay that much more special.
Each room is unique and special in its own way, adding to the charm. Whether you opt for a private or shared room, you will find space outside of your room to both decompress or socialise! With plenty of shared spaces such as the living space in the main house, the outside garden, decking and pool areas, and the beautiful rooftop yoga space. There is so much history and magic in this venue, and we hope you'll come to enjoy it as much as we do.

Lindsey Holland is a content creator, environmentalist ambassador, and the founder behind these retreats. She built Marnie Rays from a deep belief that women deserve more from their travel experiences, and that the ocean has a way of doing what nothing else can.
Fin is behind the scenes making it all happen, from planning and logistics to making sure every detail feels seamless and cared for. Deeply connected to the ocean, she brings a calm, thoughtful energy that helps everyone feel looked after from the moment they arrive. Whether she's in the water cheering you on or sharing a post-surf coffee, she believes the best retreats aren't just well organised - they're the ones where people feel free to be exactly who they are.

Marnie Rays is a retreat with a difference. We offer so much more than your standard wellness retreat thanks to our incredible local chefs, gifts from our brand partners, tailored yoga classes and extras such as fun nights out together, a focus on joyful community, all set within a super premium location.
Please note that a £299 initial deposit is required for all retreats and is non-refundable.
The remaining balance will be due six weeks before the retreat begins. You will have the option to pay in monthly instalments if preferred.
Once you have booked, you will be able to access your personalised payment plan, where you can view all upcoming payment due dates and make payments easily.
We know that sometimes life gets in the way of adventures, and we’ll always do our best to be understanding. That said, once you book your retreat, we begin planning and committing to accommodation, partners, and our team well in advance to make your experience happen.
If you can no longer join the trip, we can transfer your payment to a future retreat within one year of your original booking date, provided you notify us at least 30 days prior to departure. Deposits are non-refundable and can only be transferred once.
As we commit to costs in advance, cancellations or changes made within 30 days of departure are non-transferable and non-refundable. In these cases, the full balance remains payable.
If your balance is not paid by the agreed due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain any payments made.
If you are unable to attend your retreat for any reason, including illness, personal circumstances, or travel disruption, our standard cancellation terms will apply.
We are not responsible for travel disruption outside of our control, including (but not limited to) flight cancellations, delays, or global events.
We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, covering cancellation, travel disruption, and unforeseen circumstances.

We couldn't recommend solo travel more. It can feel scary but we promise you it'll be one of the best things you ever do! Plus, our job is to make sure you have the best time and make new connections (if you'd like to!). We've got beautiful group dinners, and lots of other things we'll do as a little Marnie Rays community. You're in the best hands.
Yes! We cater for all dietaries and allergies.
We have guests travel from all over the world to come surf with us!
Yes! We welcome you with open arms. Most of our guests have never surfed before! It's a beautiful thing to learn together in a safe and supportive environment.
The nearest airport is Lisbon (LIS), around 40–45 minutes from the retreat by car.
The easiest way to get here is by Uber or Bolt from the airport (around €45). If you prefer public transport, you can take the metro to Campo Grande bus station and then hop on a Carris Metropolitana bus towards Ericeira. From there, it's just a short Uber or local bus to the villa.
If you're driving, take the A8 north from Lisbon, then the A21 towards Ericeira.
Once you've booked, we'll send you the exact villa address, easy-to-follow arrival details, and all the transport options. Closer to the retreat, we'll also add everyone to a WhatsApp group so you can say hello, ask any questions, and arrange to share airport transfers or taxis with other guests if you'd like.
You won't need to bring any special equipment, we'll provide all the surf gear you'll need. We recommend packing:
Swimwear A beach towel Comfortable yoga and lounging outfits Layers for the famous Ericeira breeze (even in summer, the evenings can be chilly!) Sun protection (Waterproof sunscreen and zinc, Hat, sunglasses) Any personal toiletries and medications Water bottle
We also strongly recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance that includes cover for watersports.
Absolutely, friends are more than welcome. You can choose to share a room together or book two separate private rooms, whichever you prefer. Most guests travel solo, but bringing a friend is always a great option.
